BACK from Bangkok.

awesome trip! great travel mates though i was always bullied. threatened to be hit with a baseball bat. discussions of why i can be so stupid. hurhur.

Day 1, 10 March 2008
bus to airport. check in. walked around T3. had a meal before boarding. FD 3501. landed and took bus and walked to Baiyoke Suite hotel. lobby's on the 5th level. check-in. room 368, spacious suite.

Food ate: beef noodles, cheap satay, jap food (sashimi, sake),mini donuts, durian sweet. saw traditional ice kacang with manual ice shaving.
saw worms biscuit. saw long perished in spore - A&W & SOGO.
shopped whole day.
took train. the ticket dispenser and ticket was like our old spore system.
took tuk-tuk taxi. knocked my head. super duper pain.
night market. bought a few items.i'm not good at slashing prices. BOO!
went to Ping Pong show. got bounced out by the fierce lady who asked us to pay more. took our beer out.
taxi back to hotel. got the driver to bring us to our destinations for the next 4 days.

Day 2, 11 March 2008
breaskfast at Hotel's top storey, 43rd storey. met taxi driver. headed to floating market. nice kampong feeling. bought souvenirs. feed fishes.

2nd stop. Elephant & Crocodile Farm. greeted by sleepy twins tiger. walked crocodile stunt, magic show and elephant show. fed elephants and took pics with it. tons of crocs ard. yummy coconut and yam ice cream.

3rd stop. Suan Lum Night Plaza. shopped. change and withdraw money. continued shopping. tuk-tuk back to hotel. showered. explored Baiyoke's other hotels. had fruits buffet at Baiyoke Sky. had Thai massage.

Day 3, 12 March 2008
breakfast. taxi to Chokchai Farm. bought souvenirs, ate milk ice cream and milk. had steak lunch at resturant b4 our tour starts. tour started with a video, peh got to milk the cow. toured around. ice cream making process, ride a horse, cowboy live shows, feed animals (deer, cows, bunnies, camels, sheep), ATV riding.

back to bangkok. found francis' bike shop. too ex n din buy. walked around. shopped. back to Baiyoke Sky for fruits buffet which wasnt as good as the previous day. internet shop to book hotel room for Pattaya stay. back to hotel for shower and packed luggage before heading out to walk around. morning market wasnt opened. had supper.

Day 4, 13 March 2008
woke up abit earlier and managed to walk around morning market myself. din get lost. last breakfast at hotel. miscomm so we had to wait an hr for taxi driver. went around to explore again. taxi to Pattaya.

reach sunny Pattaya. loads of Caucasians. Sunshine Residence Hotel. 5 mins away from beach. headed out to walk around. peh and francis got to play parachute and jet ski. i couldnt cos of gal's ting. sadded. back to hotel to check details for bungee jump.

book package for bungee. taxi over there. peh jumped first. followed by me. almost din wana jump but thankfully the guy gave a pushing hand. all i could do was scream. it feels exhilarating, awesome and it was unbelieveable. peh jumped another time. back to hotel to shower.

headed out to walk around. saw a Caucasian couple and the guy was shouting happily that his gf/wife was carrying his child. so happy for them both. had chicken kebab. dinner at roadside stall. many food ate. love the mango glutinous rice. explored around. visited Tiffany place. din get to watch the transv show cos peh din wana watch. watched rifle shooting.

found a place for massage but headed back to shower b4 heading out again. massage parlour had oriental decorations. great massage. had Thai foot massage package and mani/pedicure. fell asleep. walked around the streets of Pattaya to experience the night life. bought food to bring home.

Day 5, 14 March 2008
good night's rest. packed luggage. check out. walked around. roadside food for lunch. luxurious taxi ride to airport. flight delayed for one hr. spent the rest of the money and ate at sky lounge. nt nice blueberry cheescake. checked in. shopped around duty free.

FD 3507 didnt arrive in airport when it was boarding time. had to wait another hour. collected a voucher from the someone lookalike, ate at dairy queen. bus to the finally arrived plane. landed in spore near 1 am. shopped for alcohol at duty free. cabbed home.

things learnt and found out in thailand.
dustbins are not readily available
drinks that are drinkable: coke, grass jelly, plain water and yakult.
they seldom eat meat, mostly salads.
everything is about price slashing. it must be a skill.

i want to travel more often!
